This hugely fun new musical for children ages 2-6 introduces invaluable social and emotional lessons through music and play – featuring our original SEL kids songs!
Children this age are experiencing a lot of change: new settings, new relationships, new playtime dynamics. This show brings some of these new scenarios to light and provides fun examples for how to work through them.
Join Olivia as she uses imagination, fun songs, and new friends in the audience to bring her playroom to life! With the help of her BFF, Barry the Bear, she goes on various adventures, journeying from the beach all the way to outer space. Together, Olivia and Barry learn invaluable lessons about big feelings, unconditional love, perseverance, and so much more. This innovative new musical is the perfect way to entertain the whole family and learn some fun lessons along the way!

THE MUSIC
We consulted child psychology experts to understand some of the biggest issues kids face and developed our original music to help kids deal with those issues in a way that is fun, useful and memorable. These songs come to life in our musical, encouraging our audiences to learn those lessons while jamming to the beat.
THE STORY
We wrote the script using the NY DoE SEL Benchmarks as a guide for the lessons our characters learn throughout the show.

OLIVIA RUBBO (Olivia) is a professional singer and actor with a BFA in musical theater from Emerson College. She founded the early childhood music company, Mind Body Music NYC in 2020 and has since taught thousands of children throughout the city. Olivia developed this program as a means to promote social emotional learning through music and play, and thus inspire the next generation of emotionally intelligent humans one jammin tune at a time! MUKTA PHATAK (Barry) is an actor, playwright, and teaching artist based in NYC. She joined Mind Body Music NYC as a teacher and now serves as the company’s Creative Director, working alongside Olivia to grow the company’s media presence.
